The true self

There is someone who sees in the secret; that someone is you, your true self. But do not fool yourself that you are God.

Your true self sees when you have done something wrong. He or she also sees when you have been good and what an idiot you are when you brag about your goodness.

Another part of you is silencing your true self by spinning endless bullshit stories, excuses, and rationalizations. This part is so loud and domineering that the true self cannot be heard and is eventually forgotten. This is why you can later say, "I didn't know. I was midinformed. I'm only human."
