It is possible to wake up from delusions. It is possible to realize that the world is not what we think it is. It is possible to realize that we’re not what we think we are. But then what? Is that it? Somehow we have to make a living. Somehow we have to find a way to live in this mad world. Those with enough money can escape to a house in the country and live of their savings, but we, who don't have enough money, have no other options but to sink or swim.

People around us, in our neighborhoods and in our workplaces, will vote for the extreme right because they are racists or perhaps they are fanatically into shopping or soap operas or dieting. Some people are caught up in alcohol, soccer or weird religion. Some people are interested in horoscopes and others are interested in sadist sex. However, most people on this planet live without no other interests than survival. Most people are malnourished or starving.

We live in a mad world. We’re living in a madhouse. This is a fact, not a belief. What can we do? It is rare to meet someone who is not crazy. Isn’t it wonderful to meet someone or even hear about people who don’t seem to be completely crazy?
