Synchronicities

Do angels sometimes intervene and direct our steps in order to create synchronicities? If so, why do they intervene? Do they try to help us in some strange way? But, why are they not more helpful? Why are they so unobtrusive? We need much more help?

If guardian angels and a benevolent God exist, why don't they help people who are in desperate need of help? There are billions of people who are in desperate need of help, right now, in this moment.

Soul-searching

If you begin to examine yourself, your thoughts, beliefs, assumptions and preferences, then you may find that you are an idiot. You may find that you are a false, disgusting and selfish fool. You may find that you are a coward, a jerk, a...

However, after some time, you may also find that there is a part of you that is OK. I belive that in all people, there is a part that is OK. It may be forgotten, suppressed or repressed, and it may be very hard to find, but it is there, somewhere.

Death row

We will be sentenced to death, all of us, no matter what crimes we have committed.

Highly Insensitive People

Some people are very sensitive. According to Elaine Aron is about one fifth of the population highly sensitive. Most people are more or less insensitive. Psychopaths are extremely insensitive. About 1 % of us are psychopaths.

Life is often difficult for Highly Sensitive People. They suffer among ordinary people because ordinary people are so insensitive. Extremely Sensitive People can sometimes experience paranormal phenomenons, like synchronicities, precognitions or telepathy. Insensitive people consider them wacky or neurotic.

Enlightenment

Enlightenment is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is crumbling away of untruth. It's seeing through the facade of pretence. It's the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true.

Who knows

Maybe you're not a Highly Sensitive Person,
maybe you are a neurotic person.
Maybe you're not laid back, maybe you're just lazy.
Maybe you're not outspoken and straightforward,
maybe you're an asshole.
Maybe you're not awake, maybe you're a space cadet.

Maybe you're not neurotic, maybe you're a Highly Sensitive Person.
Maybe you're not lazy, maybe you're not an asshole,
maybe you're not a space cadet.

Maybe you're sometimes lazy, sometimes laid back and harmonious.
Maybe you're sometimes awake, someimes an asshole.

Know thyself

To get to know yourself, you need to observe yourself. You need to observe yourself in action, closely. What you're telling yourself, your explanations, rationalizations and ideas about yourself are quite uninteresting. It's when you do something that you have a chance to catch a glimpse of yourself, when you refuse to call her back, when you suddenly decide to go to the pub, when you stuff yourself with pancakes, etc.

To get to know to yourself can be very unpleasant. It can be like trying to make friends with a pisshead on a park bench or a priggish little jerk in a lunch room

You think that you're sensible, but you're not. The sensible part of you is just a part of you. You are not just one person. You consist of several personalities, much like a small family business that is run by a family. Sometimes is your father at the helm, sometimes your mother, sometimes your uncle.

Hello!

How are you?
What's wrong with you?
Have you received your diagnosis, and a prescription?

Who are you?
What do you think?

Who are you, really, ultimately?
Electron swarms and quarks?

And what is an electron?
A particle or a wave?
A particle or a wave in what?

What is matter, really?
Energy? Condensed radiation?
Isn't materialism an outdated idea?

What is the soul made of?
Fantasies, delusion, spirit?
How do you define the word soul?

What is consciousness made of?
Electromagnetic fields in brain tissue?
What is outside of our universe?
Where is the universe situated?

Why did all the questions arise in the universe?

Jump off the bandwagon

It's immoral to send Afghan refugees back to Afghanistan. It's also immoral to send back refugees from Yemen, Iraq, Libya and Syria. There are millions of people in the Middle East, Asia and Africa who are escaping religious terror.

Religions create terrible misery in the world. And it's not just Muslim extremists who are on the war path. Jewish fanatics fight for their Greater Israel and  the evangelical christians in the US voted for Trump. They want more and better nuclear weapons because they want to be well prepared for the final battle.

The Muslim terrorists are often social misfits. But behind them are religious teachers and imams who have influenced their worldview. And behind the fanatic imams are powerful religious leaders in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. For decades they have spread their extrem form of islam across the world through religious schools and mosques. We can not criticize them. Saudi Arabia and Qatar are important trading partners and, moreover, religious beliefs are not something to be criticized.

But it is not just religious ideas that create problems in the world. Political ideas and ideologies can also make us mad. Both politics and religion can make us completely crazy.

We ought be many more, who clearly rejected solid beliefs. We ought to be many more who stopped following political and religious leaders. We ought to be many more who jumped off the bandwagon.

Worldviews

You are holding on to your worldview,
like a two year old to a security blanket.

Don’t be ashamed of your attachment.
Have a tolerant approach.

Abrupt removal of the blanket is likely to backfire
and make the transition process take much longer.

Identities

It's difficult for Jews and Palestinians to get along.
The same goes for sunni muslims and shia muslims,
right-wingers and left-wingers, born again christians and atheists,
religious fundamentalists and pluralists, bigots and liberals,
spiritualists and materialists, rich and poor, extroverts and introverts,
educated and uneducated...

Our identities divide us.

But, what is an identity, really? What is it made of?
Ideas? Thoughts? Vivid imagination?

Identities seem so extremely solid and unshakable even though they're not.
Left-wingers can change and become right-wingers,
religious people can become atheists and an atheists can become religious

Nothing is written in stone.

Illusions

If you are sitting on a beach, watching the sunset,
you can clearly see how the sun is sinking down under the horizon,
how it is moving.

But it's not the sun that is sinking, it's the earth that is turning.
The movement of the sun is an illusion.

You can be fully convinced about something that is completely wrong.
You can't always trust your senses. You can't always trust your self.

However, sunsets are wonderful even if it's not the sun that is sinking.

What difference does it make to you, in your life,
if the earth revolves around the sun, or if the sun revolves around the earth?

What difference does it make if there are tons of universes out there,
or if this universe is the only one?

It's all in the mind

What you can see, with your own eyes, is not the reality
but an mental 3D-film created in your brain.

The world doesn't work the way you think it works.
You are not the one you think you are.
You are someone else.

You are holding on to your erroneous worldview,
like the WW2 japanese soldier in the jungle who refused to surrender,
unaware of the fact that it was decades since the war was over.

Your assumptions, convictions and ideas about yourself and the world
are made of mind stuff, electrochemical activity in your neurons,
which is affected by preconceptions, misconceptions and social conditioning.

God is a mental construct.
Angels and spirits are fantasy figures.

Electrons quarks and strings are concepts, theoretical models.
They have no substance outside modern physics laboratories.
The reality is an illusion. You are living in a dream world.

We are lost, as if we were lost in a big forest, out in the backwoods.
No one knows where we are so we just keep on trudging,
quarreling about which direction we should choose.
After hours of wandering we end up in the same glade.
We have been walking in circles for thousands of years.

All political systems, religions and philosophies have proved to be useless.

What shall we do?

Dream

Someone is trying to figure out how to open a door but gets frustrated. He is locked out. He is banging and shaking the handle. Has he lost the key or has he never had any?

I want to tell him that he should try a loving approach but realize that that wouldn't work either. The door is locked. Rational thinking, love, or brute force make no difference. I don't know either how to open the door.

God

God is a word that can mean almost anyting.
There are thousands and thousands of different ideas about God,
christian ideas, muslim ideas, hindu ideas...
There are gods for the rich and gods for the poor
gods for hypocrites, for crackpots and for those in despair.

All these different ideas about God can of course not be right.
It's quite possible that all of them are misconceptions.
Maybe God is something entirely different or someone else.

There are also many different atheistic ideas about the world,
how it originated, if it has an origin, how it works.
Are there multitudes of universes out there? What is dark matter?
What is consciousness? What will happen to us when we die?
The scientists speculate, debate and put forward hypotheses
but there is no unanimity among them.

We are all kept in the dark.

The thinking mind

A dream is a dream, a surrealistic night show.
The interpretation of the dream is an interpretation
made of words by the daytime thinking mind.

A work of art is a work of art.
The analysis of the artwork is also created by the thinking mind.

A strange experience, a synchronicity for example,
or some other paranormal experience, is a strange experience.
The explanation for the strange experience is an explanation.

The rational thinking part of the brain is just a small part of the brain
.
This know-it-all part of the brain can find smart explanations for everything.

These words are of course also a fruit of the thinking mind.

Self deception

Dishonesty and self deception are helpful tools.
They help us to survive.
However, too much of them create serious problems.
You will find yourself in hot water
if your life is filled to the brim with dishonesty,
bullshit and self deception.
It's important to, now and then, question oneself.

Thoughts

Religion, spirituality and philosophy are made of thoughts.
Without thoughts there would be no religion, spirituality
or philosophy of life. But what are they made of?
What is a thought, really?A fluctuation in an electromagnetic field?
Chemical reactions?

What do you experience in the gap between two thoughts?
Well, you can see something, hear something or feel something.

Not having thoughts for a moment
is not necessarily a mystical experience.

Religious and spiritual people's main interest
is the world behind the world we live in, the metaphysical realm.
Philosophically minded people are more interested in this world.

This is the reason why we don't get along.
Our thoughts separate us.
Thinking is a mysterious phenomenon.
Nobody knows what thoughts are made of.
They can be silly, stupid, funny, clever, dark, elevated, delusional...
Therefore they must always be examined and questioned.
Is this just stupid stuff or is this thought helpful in some way?

Descent

You will not find anything of value
if you make a visit to the underworld, just junk
like in a damp basement of an abandoned house
moldy clothes and old newspapers
broken shoes, rats nests and spiders.
There is no river down there
and no ferryman.

Nevertheless, some people settle there.
How is that possible?

They've not climbed down there out of curiosity
they've ended up there
and then they've somehow got the idea
that it is there where they belong.
Isn't it strange?

(There is something within some people
that lure them down into darkness and misery
and there is something that lure them back to everyday life.)

You can´t recommend anyone to go down there
to see for themselves
because there is nothing there to see, or find
even though those who have never been there
clearly lack something
like chattering celebrities in TV shows.

The Christian right

George W Bush was born again in 1985.  God told him to go to war against Iraq when he became president. More than 600 000 people died in this war.

The Christian right gave its full support to the American terror bombings in Vietnam. More than 2 million people died.

A priest blessed the crew who dropped the atom bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He later woke up and said: “I never preached a single sermon against killing civilians to the men who were doing it. I was brainwashed! It never entered my mind to protest publicly the consequences of these massive air raids. I was told it was necessary—told openly by the military and told implicitly by my church’s leadership. (To the best of my knowledge no American cardinals or bishops were opposing these mass air raids. Silence in such matters is a stamp of approval.)”

The Christian right in the United States supports Donald Trump. They want to invest even more money on rearmament and more efficient nuclear arms. They want to prepare for the final battle at Armageddon.

They are also opposed to contraception and abortion; they say yes to life. They are filled with eagerness and disseminate the message of love across the world.

Illusions

More than 99.9% of the world is simply empty space, emptiness between the electrons and the nucleus of the atom. Most modern people know this, it's basic. Behind the veil of Maya there is nothing.

The world is an illusion. Without life forms with big brains
there wouldn't be any reality, practically.

There wouldn't be any bad weather or lovely weather, no funny cloud formations, no chirping sparrows, no noisy neighbors with power tools, no nothing.

Well

Some people call themselves Christians, they even go to church on sundays, but they don't turn the other cheek and they lay up treasures for themselves in tax havens.

Others pretend that they are optimistic about the future of mankind.

Dishonest people can denounce dishonesty and hypocrites can critizise hypocrisy.

I lie everyday. However, sometimes I don't. I believe that all people are tricksters that occasionally tell the truth.

How do you find out if someone is sincere? What method do you use? And how do you find out if you're lying to yourself?

Religious fanatics have taken over the world

Christian fanatics are politically very influential in the US.

Islamic fanatics in Saudi Arabia and Iran have turned the Middle East and parts of Africa to an inferno. (Syria, Irak, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, northern Nigeria, Somalia...)

Jewish fanatics are occupying parts of the West Bank. Their plan is to create 'Greater Israel', their promised land, which extends all the way to Iraq.

Christian fanatics in the US support the Jewish fanatics because they believe that Jesus will return when the temple in Jerusalem is rebuilt.

George W Bush is a christian fanatic. It was God who told him to violate international law and start the Iraq War. Also many high ranking officers in the US Army are christian, right-wing fanatics.

The christian fanatics voted for Trump. His vice president Mike Pence is a christian right-wing fanatic.

Religious extremist wackos have taken the whole world hostage.

Mainstream folks are holding their breath.

The future

There is one future scenario that is overlooked by social scientists and political philosophers: that humanity will perish.

Sooner or later will some power crazy wacko "press the button". If we don't drown in our own waste first. We struggle frantically to destroy this planet.

All previous civilizations have disappeared and I believe that this global civilization will be the last. Humanity will disappear. All species are dying out in the evolution. Some other lifeform will take over, flies, perhaps, or cockroaches. They have high resistance to radioactive radiation.

This is indeed a dark view of the future but it's not an unlikely view, not at all.

Can you see any light from anywhere? Yes, small groups of people are protesting here and there but they have no political power. Those who have the power are not interested in solving social or environmental problems. They don't want to end the wars. They thrive from war and arms sales.

But they give beautiful speeches and the masses admire them. There is no hope for humankind. The only way to cope is to seek refuge in La La Land.

You blockhead

Stop whining!
Life sucks and then we die.
Yes, this is how it works.
Oh, poor, poor me.
Jesus Christ! Will you never wake up?
