It is possible to wake up from delusions. It is possible to realize that the world is not what we think it is. It is possible to realize that we’re not what we think we are. But then what? Is that it? Somehow we have to make a living. Somehow we have to find a way to live in this mad world. Those with enough money can escape to a house in the country and live of their savings, but we, who don't have enough money, have no other options but to sink or swim.

People around us, in our neighborhoods and in our workplaces, will vote for the extreme right because they are racists or perhaps they are fanatically into shopping or soap operas or dieting. Some people are caught up in alcohol, soccer or weird religion. Some people are interested in horoscopes and others are interested in sadist sex. However, most people on this planet live without no other interests than survival. Most people are malnourished or starving.

We live in a mad world. We’re living in a madhouse. This is a fact, not a belief. What can we do? It is rare to meet someone who is not crazy. Isn’t it wonderful to meet someone or even hear about people who don’t seem to be completely crazy?

One does not wake up in the future, nor woke up in the past. One is reborn to the waking up in the field of Now. When one lives with a past (a story of what happened, our memories) and a future (something we can never touch) then they will not Meet the Now. They are, of course, also, living in the field of Now, but they are not aware of it.

The "quality" of living in the Now is immeasurable compared with the way humans have created society to be a system of "haves" and "have nots". The miraculous-ness of Life cannot be Seen in this mind-made society. Therefore, the shedding of the ego-mind, for some, will seem like a task. Because the ego does not want to go. It is almost like an entity in itself, "possessed by the ego" (Eckhart Tolle).

There is nothing one can do to end all the madness except waking up to the field of Now.

Even the madness occuring all around us is part of "is-ness" of the Now. Everything that happens or exists, the good, the bad, and the ugly, is brought about by the entire cosmos, and is perfectly perfect.

Let the madness be mad and crazy.

thank you for a great topic!
Blessings.

Yes! Diane!
Allowing EVERYTHING to be as it is "changes" EVERYTHING, and not with intention or 'in the future'.
I have a sculptural piece called "the inherent perfection of imperfection"
